Lesson 7. Basic diagnosis: dental erosion
A key step prior to worn down dentition repairing is a thorough root cause Diagnosis. Would you like to be able to explain to patients how the restorations will age? Well, Diagnosis comes first: only by understanding the reason behind the original tooth wear we can predict the longevity of its repair. For example, if the cause of erosion is acid, then the restorations will age better than the natural teeth.

Lesson 8. First step: the External Mock-up

Lesson 9. How to decide the increase of VDO: the Anterior Stop
What is the VDO? How and how much can it be increased? These are the most common questions among clinicians when starting a 3STEP Procedure. And the answer is yes, VDO can be increased depending on the initial situation of each patient. So, let's start from the articulated models and the progressive waxup, which will then be tested inside the patient's mouth.

Lesson 10. Second step: the White Bite
Have you ever done a White Bite? A White Bite represents the result of the 3STEP Project, transferred in the mouth, to obtain a new posterior support at an increased VDO. This is the moment when the bite of the patient changes... and even if it is done in an additive manner, it may be a stressful moment for clinicians not used to work on a full mouth. Following the protocol is essential.

Lesson 11. The Control Visit
The patient is back after the White Bite... will he/she be ok??? After the increase of VDO, patients present with an anterior open bite, which will be restored by means of Anterior Veneers. Before moving to the next step, it is crucial to evaluate the new posterior support, and the patient's comfort in general during even chewing. Occlusal Adjustments are one of the 8 steps which compone this important moment, called the CONTROL VISIT.

Lesson 12. Third step: Palatal Veneers
