In 1992 received the Master of Science in Dentistry in Periodontology. Has since cooperated with different research groups at projects related to guided tissue regeneration, guided bone regeneration and implant dentistry. He is author of more than 30 papers published on peer reviewed magazines, co-author of the book Bone Biomaterials and Beyond where he wrote the chapter on periodontal regeneration. Funding member and vice president of the Bone Biomaterials and Beyond Academy. Has been a professor at the Master of second degree in Periodontology at Sapienza University of Rome since 2000, at the master in Implantology and prosthetics of the University of Pisa since 2010.
